:- 1.0 out of 5 stars from GF1804 -- Not worth the wait... : On the face of it this book had everything to be really cool. Instead the book falls flat. Empty blank pages -negative breathing space or not enough content to illustrate their work. In an effort to lead you into the design and emotion of the interiors, they shoot fabric swatches which also take up double page spreads and there are many of them! Clement's work is so laid back, significant and hyper cool. This record of their work falls short, poor photography on interiors that have already been used over and over again. If I could be bothered - I'd politely send back this book for a refund. Disappointing. ( Reviewed in the United States on October 5, 2021 )
- 1.0 out of 5 stars from N -- Unimpressed and Caution You to Skip. : I will preface that I am a huge fan of Clements Design. Their work is truly spectacular but this book falls short by miles. There are endless empty pages and when you discover an image you're met with a close up of an object and cannot witness the interior design. The image quality is also poor, extremely poor. As a collector of books that fall into this category, I can assure you that the quality is beyond sub par and underwhelming as it is almost impossible to enjoy the art through all that grain and improper image sizing. There is no more poignant way to describe this book, as words fail to capture the effortless grace, deep beauty, high art, and authentic spirit of Kathleen and Tommy’s work. The same can be said of the graphic design, stunning photography - including the rich simplicity of the fabric shots - and touching words of the luminous contributors. I love the negative space you see throughout the book - it really makes you focus on the portraits. I thought it was nice to see the detailed shots of the fabrics actually used in the homes.
